Honor-A-Teacher or Staff (HATS) Program
The end of the school year is a perfect time to participate in the Midlothian ISD Education Foundationís Honor-A-Teacher and Staff (HATS) program! For a donation of $10, the MEF will award a certificate and pin of appreciation to a special professional at Midlothian ISD during National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7-12, 2012. For $50, you may honor six individuals.
The HATS gift package includes a HATS Recognition Award (sent directly to the teacher or staff person), listing on the MISD/MEF website, a small gift, and recognition in the May edition of Midlothian NOW Magazine.
The deadline to honor an MISD employee is April 2, 2012. Any forms received after April 2 will still be honored, but not included in the Midlothian NOW advertising.
Adopt-A-Grant Program
The Adopt-A-Grant Program is designed as an addition to the Innovative Teaching Grant Program. The Midlothian Education Foundation works tirelessly on behalf of MISD to gather funds from businesses and the community in order to grant campuses with money for innovative grants. Due to the recent state budgeting issues, MEF felt it necessary to create a second category of grants to address campus and district needs due to budget shortfalls. These grants may be innovative, but may also be a request for basic materials or items needed. More
