Donations & Gifts

The Midlothian ISD Education Foundation relies on contributions from private and public donors to support the students, families and the community of Midlothian ISD. The MEF is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, and contributions are tax deductible as defined by the IRS.

DONATIONS

The MEF accepts cash, checks, and credit cards via PayPal. Click the "Donate" button below to donate via credit card.

MEMORIALS & HONORARIUMS

Contributions can be made to the MEF in memory or in honor of a special person. This is a great way to honor educators who have played a special role at MISD. When submitting your memorial, please send the name of the person to memorialize or honor, and who should be notified of the gift (honoree, family members, etc.). We will post all memorials and honorariums on our website and in our Stars Banquet Program Book along with sending out a letter to the donor and the recipient or recipient's family.

AFFINITY PROGRAMS

American Express card holders can donate their reward points to MEF. For every 1,000 points donated, MEF will receive $10 from the Giving Express by American Express program. Click the "Giving Express" button below for more details. Points may only be donated to 501(c)(3) organizations.

Giving ExpressDid you know, you can redeem your American Express Membership Rewards(R) points for a donation to the MEF? For every 1,000 points you redeem, we will receive a $10.00. Select the Giving Express banner to get started!

Custom Diploma Frames!

MHS FrameMySchoolMat.com has partnered with the MEF to offer customized Midlothian High School diploma frames. The custom framing company has been in business in North Texas for over 30 years, and only offers these frames to a few select North Texas high schools. Visit www.myschoolmat.com to order your MHS frame today. Approximately 20% of each frame sold is donated back to the MEF. These make great Christmas and graduation presents for an MHS graduate or alumnus. Click here for more info [PDF] and special limited time offers.

MATCHING GIFTS

Ask your employer if they have a matching gifts program. Some companies will match your donation to MEF dollar for dollar, doubling your contribution! Contact the MEF office with any questions.

Click here [PDF] for a list of companies that may match contributions to the MEF.

GIFTS OF GOODS, SERVICES, or IN-KIND ITEMS

MEF welcomes gifts of goods, services, or in-kind items. Please contact our office first if making a gift of this kind. You can also view our In-Kind Donation Form here [PDF].

PLANNED GIVING

Planned giving is when a donor can leave money or assets to a nonprofit upon his/her death or a way to invest money so the donor receives benefits during his/her life and then bequeaths the remaining funds to the nonprofit. If you are interested in learning more about planned giving, please contact our offices, as we can help provide you with more information.
