News Release
The Midlothian ISD administration is pleased to announce the preliminary Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) scores for students who took the spring 2011 TAKS tests.
We are very pleased to share with you Midlothian ISD’s TAKS scores. The ratings demonstrate that our students performed well on the TAKS tests. The ratings also point to the hard work put in by our administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and students,” said Dr. Stewart, MISD Superintendent.
MISD students continue to perform at high levels in all subjects tested with passing rates exceeding 90 percent at all grade levels. These scores represent academic achievement at a level that is considerably higher than the state passing standard.

| Math (grades 3-11) | 91% | 36% |
| Reading /ELA (grades 3-9) | 95% | 42% |
| Science (grades 5, 8, 10, 11) | 92% | 42% |
| Social Studies (grades 8, 10, 11) | 97% | 51% |
| Writing (grades 4, 7) | 96 % | 41% |
This year the commended performance was an additional accountability measure in the areas of Math and Reading/ELA.
