After serving a total of 29 years as an educator, T.E. Baxter Elementary Principal, Nena Challenner, has announced her retirement effective June 2011.
“While serving as administrator in MISD, my passion has been to help teachers help kids,” ~ Mrs. Challenner.
“While serving as administrator in MISD, my passion has been to help teachers help kids,” said Mrs. Challenner. “I now look forward to begin my new journey in life by traveling and spending time with family.”
Mrs. Challenner began her career in 1982 as an elementary teacher in Duncanville ISD. She later came to Midlothian ISD and taught general and special education classes at T.E. Baxter Elementary, Mt. Peak Elementary and Longbranch Elementary. In 2001, she was selected as assistant principal at Longbranch Elementary and then became principal at T.E. Baxter Elementary in 2005.
Midlothian ISD is proud of the positive impact that Mrs. Challenner has made in the many lives of students and teachers.
